The Paper Painting series is comprised of highly textured abstractions made of paint, paper, and thread with multiple layers and complex compositions. In the works Brumfield-Woods explores formal aspects of color theory and color blocking techniques, emphasizing both the optical and emotional response it has on of the viewer, while using non-traditional materials.
